Overview

Creating work ready learners is the responsibility of every curriculum area, not just employability or careers teams. This implementation workshop supports colleges to develop a coordinated, organisation-wide approach that embeds employability across teaching, learning, personal development, employer engagement and learner support. Delegates will collaborate with colleagues, explore proven models from across the sector and leave with practical strategies to strengthen employability throughout the learner journey.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this implementation workshop delegates will:

• Develop a clearer understanding of how employability can be embedded across the whole learner journey through a coordinated organisational approach
• Explore practical examples and effective practice from colleges successfully embedding employability across curriculum, careers and personal development
• Receive practical implementation resources including strategy templates, employer engagement tools, learner frameworks and self-assessment resources
• Produce a realistic implementation roadmap identifying priorities, responsibilities and next steps to strengthen employability across their organisation
