Overview

Developing employability requires far more than careers advice or occasional employability events. This practical workshop explores how tutorial and personal development can become powerful drivers for developing work ready learners. Delegates will examine effective curriculum models, share successful practice with colleagues from across the sector and leave with practical resources to embed employability, professional behaviours and workplace readiness throughout tutorial programmes.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this implementation workshop delegates will:

• Design practical approaches for embedding employability skills, professional behaviours and workplace readiness throughout tutorial and personal development programmes
• Explore and evaluate effective practice from colleges across the sector to inform future curriculum development
• Receive practical resources including tutorial activities, employability frameworks, learner reflection tools and planning templates ready for implementation
• Develop an implementation action plan to strengthen employability provision within their own organisation over the coming academic year
