Overview
The introduction of Ofsted’s new Participation and Development judgement presents a significant opportunity for colleges to review and strengthen their learner development strategy. This highly practical implementation workshop moves beyond understanding the inspection framework and focuses on how colleges can design, implement and quality assure an effective Participation and Development approach. Through practical activities, case studies, benchmarking and shared practice, delegates will develop a clearer implementation roadmap while gaining access to tools, templates and resources that can be adapted within their own organisations.
Objectives
By the end of this implementation workshop delegates will:
- Develop a practical framework for designing or reviewing an effective whole-college Participation and Development strategy aligned to current inspection expectations
- Explore effective practice from across the sector and identify approaches that can be adapted within their own organisation
- Gain access to practical implementation resources including audit tools, self-assessment frameworks, curriculum mapping templates and action planning documentation
- Leave with a personalised implementation plan identifying immediate, medium and longer-term priorities to strengthen Participation and Development provision
