The Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) 2019 consultation has now concluded and the responses are currently being reviewed before implementation in September.

The previous inspection framework (2015) introduced us to the importance of personal development, behaviour and welfare in relation to our learners’ success. The new EIF suggests an even greater emphasis on these areas with two separate  judgments being introduced, ‘Personal Development’ and ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’.

This event will provide an opportunity to investigate personal and social development, in the context of the new EIF, and will help you to develop a framework for related curriculum in preparation for the 2019/20 academic year. During the day we will consider:

  • what ‘Personal Development’ and ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’ means in the context of the new EIF
  • how to design a purposeful curriculum to best support our learners’ personal, social and wider skills development
  • how to capture learners’ starting points in relation to their personal development, behaviour and attitudes
  • how to evaluate the progress learners make in relation to their personal development, behaviour and attitudes

This will be an interactive session involving discussion and practical activities that provide you with development tools and ideas to use in your own organisation. You will also have the opportunity to network with colleagues, share experiences and learn from each others’ practice.
