‘A negative tutoring relationship, i.e. one that does not engage fully with the learner, does not support the fulfilment of an individual’s potential’, (Perlman 1974:4). This is just one of the many reasons why it is essential for personal tutors to be recruited wisely and trained effectively. In this webinar we will explore the essential skills and attributes required for effective tutoring and consider ways in which we can recruit confidently and up-skill our tutors to best serve each student’s learning, development and support needs.

Participants are encouraged to bring any questions along that they may have. We like to keep sessions as lively and engaging as possible. If you have a headset or microphone please feel free to use it.
